New models - Subaru - WRXSubaru updates WRX for 2025Key updates announced for Subaru WRX as tS Spec B variant joins the Aussie range21 Apr 2025 By MATT BROGAN SUBARU Australia has announced key updates to its MY25 WRX range, including the addition of its “exciting” tS Spec B variant, now confirmed as being priced from $61,490 plus on-road costs.
Across the board, prices from the MY25 WRX range increase by between $500 and $3500, the range now starting from $48,190 +ORC in base sedan format.
Subaru says the updated 2025 WRX model line-up introduces a host of new features across safety, technology and styling, delivering even more value to performance enthusiasts – and making the MY25 range the most feature-packed of the current generation.
Of note, the range-topping tS variants – available as a Sedan or Sportswagon – receive an even greater level of updates aimed at further elevating the WRX driving experience.
Across the range we now find as standard a Driver Monitoring System including distraction warning, drowsiness warning, facial recognition, climate control (last used settings) and MID display (last used settings) features.
A new Emergency Driving Stop System is also added as part of Subaru’s EyeSight driver assistance suite, while tS grades features a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, Recaro front seats with powered driver-side adjustment, black roof lining and pillar trim, and red WRX embroidery on the dashboard.
Dark grey alloy wheels now feature on tS Sport variants matching those offered on the WRX RS, while a new exterior colour, Galaxy Purple Pearl, replaces Solar Orange Pearl for all WRX Sedan variants.
“The 2025 WRX range, including the new hero WRX AWD tS Spec B model, delivers the perfect balance of raw performance and outstanding value – and the MY25 range takes that further with a suite of incredible new features,” said Subaru Australia general manager Scott Lawrence.
“It’s a compelling evolution of a nameplate that continues to excite performance enthusiasts across Australia.”
All 2025 Subaru WRX grades continue to be motivated by Subaru’s turbocharged 2.4-litre four-cylinder Boxer engine developing 202kW of power at 5600rpm and 350Nm of torque from 2000-5200rpm.
The unit is paired with a choice of six-speed manual or continuously variable transmissions driving all four wheels via Subaru’s symmetrical all-wheel drive system. Braking is via four-wheel discs while suspension duties fall to a familiar MacPherson sturt front and double wishbone rear arrangement.
All Subaru passenger vehicles are backed by a five-year/unlimited-kilometre warranty with included roadside assistance- and capped price service programs. The CPS program applies for the first five years or 75,000km with service plans available for three- or five years.
