Future models - Porsche - Cayenne - EVPorsche Cayenne Electric priced for OzArriving in Q3 next year, the all-new Porsche Cayenne Electric will be priced from $167,80024 Nov 2025 By MATT BROGAN PORSCHE is set to launch its all-new Cayenne Electric in Australia from Q3 next year with a starting price of $167,800 plus on-road costs.
The German manufacturer says the model will deliver class-leading charging speeds, driving dynamics, and acceleration with a claimed 0-100km/h sprint time of just 2.5 seconds in its range-topping form.
Power is drawn from Porsche’s fourth-generation battery technology sitting atop the same 800-volt PPE platform as the smaller Macan Electric. All-wheel drive is standard, with the entry Cayenne Electric offering 325kW/825Nm of total system output.
Charging times against the 10-80 per cent standard are listed at just 16 minutes when connected to a 400kW DC appliance, while total driving range is quoted at 624km. Optional 11kW inductive charging is also available for the first time.
Dynamic aerodynamic aids cut the drag coefficient of the Cayenne Electric to just 0.25Cd, while under braking, the regenerative technology on offer is said to reclaim 98 per cent of the energy that would otherwise be lost.
Additional braking power comes from optional Ceramic Composite rotors, while suspension duties are handled by standard adaptive air suspension. The high-grade 850kW/1500Nm Turbo variant further scores a torque vectoring limited-slip rear differential and available rear-wheel steering.
The Cayenne Electric is capable of towing up to 3500kg when optioned with Porsche’s Off-Road pack, which further adds underbody bash plates and a reprofiled front bumper to improve the vehicle’s approach angle. Ground clearance is listed at 245mm.
Inside, we find technology and equipment highlights that include a 14.25-inch infotainment screen, 12.25-inch infotainment screen, and 14.9-inch passenger entertainment screen. The trio is topped by an 87.0-inch augmented reality head-up display system to ensure driver’s never miss a trick.
Physical buttons remain for HVAC and audio control and are accompanied by voice control for the vehicle’s most commonly used systems. LED mood lighting, a panoramic glass roof, and a multitude of upholstery options are also available.
In Australia the new Cayenne Electric models will be additionally fitted with rear privacy glass, Porsche’s Parking Entry Package (with Surround View and Self-Steering Park Assist), DAB+ digital radio, 14-way electrically adjustable front seats with memory, front seat ventilation, and four-zone climate control.
The cabin is said to offer 130mm more legroom than before while cargo capacity grows to 781 litres with the rear seats in place.
On the outside, the Porsche Cayenne Electric is available in a choice of 13 paint colours and with nine alloy wheel designs ranging in diameter from 20- to 22-inches.
“Inspiring customers is our top priority at Porsche. With the electrification of the Cayenne, we are reaching a new level of performance that sets standards for the future,” said Porsche head of sales and marketing Matthias Becker.
“At the same time, we will continue to develop the Cayenne with efficient combustion and hybrid drive systems well into the next decade.
“This strategy also applies to Porsche’s entire model portfolio. In every segment in which we are represented, customers will in future have the choice between fully electric and combustion-engine powertrains.”
