Nissan previewed its next-gen Maxima sedan in Sydney, and it's on sale in December24 Oct 2003 By BRUCE NEWTON THE first local chance to get a look at the new generation Maxima was the highlight on Nissan's Sydney motor show stand this year, along with the display of the just-launched 350Z roadster. The Maxima - based on the Japanese market Teana - goes on sale in December, powered by the same 3.5-litre V6 engine as the coupe and roadster versions of the 350Z. You can expect those now traditional Nissan plusses - keen pricing and a high equipment level. That means a starting price around $40,000, probably topping out in the low $50,000 bracket.
